All right, I am not the most educated about scoring and what happens, so I just have this question.

My friend got an 800 on CR, he got 2 wrong
I got 770 on CR, I got 3 wrong. Is losing 30 points for one question normal?

My friend (same one) got a 740 on W. He got an 8 on the essay and 2 multiple choice questions wrong. I got an 8 on the essay and I got 4 multiple choice questions wrong. Is losing 25 points per question normal?

thanks a lot for the help.

Your friend got lucky and you got ripped.

Why? Becuase of the raw score issue. When you miss questions you lose 1/4 of a point. But Collegeboard Rounds. So when he missed 2, he missed 2. When you missed 3, you really missed 4 (b/c you lost a point).

Same thing w/ the writing. The grammar curve was actually particularly brutal…I think everyone did well.

god, this is definitely one of the most frustrating things to happen to me, he basically picks up 80 more points than me on 3 freaking questions.

thanks a lot for your help though, i’m just a bit frustrated.
