quick twitter question

If you follow someone on twitter, do they know that you are following them? It seems so stalkerish. Alternatively, can you block someone so they can’t follow you?

Yes, they do know you’re following them.

Yes to both. If someone is on twitter, it is a compliment to be followed (except by the creepy women with the boob shots in their profile pictures that you can block).

If you don’t want someone to know you’re following them, just look for them under “find people” and read their twitter feed that way without following them. Unless they have it private. So basically, instead of their tweets being directly on your twitter feed, you have to look up their page each time you want to check on them.

Ahh, So a future employer could learn more about you by doing a twitter search, like I just did for someone I know, find your feed and unless you had your settings on private, read all your tweets and you wouldn’t even know. How about that!

I only have twitter because I am following a free Kindle books tweet. I do not send any out yet. The tweet saves me from having to check on it and sometimes the price changes happen really fast.

Not sure I want a bunch of followers so not really much to find out about me  I think though that where I work is going to want me to convert some of my blogs to tweets before long. sigh. I was slow going to blogs for them, too.
