How do people feel about Quinnipiac? I think it might be a good option for our son, but my husband doesn’t think it has any presence as far as producing competent grads. But I see a high graduation rate and a great job placement rate. I see more high stats kids applying. Just wondering how people are feeling about this option. We know a few kids from our town who go there, but it’s hard to get a read on the total experience. Thoughts?

I’m wondering same!

Honestly I have same doubt as well. My son is also admitted to schools with higher ranking and reputation. The reason Q is still on the runner is its direct admit DPT program. DPT program is very competitive when applying after undergrad and acceptance rate is usually below 15% for any school. Therefore, direct admit can be very attractive for students who already know the career path. For healthcare career, we don’t need to worry about ranking of school as long as he can pass exam and get licensed. Quinnipiac DPT Exam passing rate is good and comparable to those high ranking schools so I think it prepares students well. Plus medical school and on campus clinic can also offer additional medical resources for students who want to pursue medical or healthcare fields without fighting to find internships or volunteer.

Yes, for that type of DPT program I think it makes a lot of sense. Our son is majoring in mechanical engineering and I am struggling to find any good info on that program. So many stats are about the school as a whole and not major specific.

US News does a ranking of Engineering school programs. FYI
