Some quotes from “names in the business” on what theater community brings to young people - maybe some of the most valuable things you can possibly get in a high school or college education.

@mom4bwayboy, I loved this article – thank you for sharing it! My daughter has often given many of these same reasons as to why she loves theatre – in particular those named by Kaitlin Hopkins. I feel very lucky that my daughter has found her passion and a community that she feels so at home in at such a young age.
Thanks for sharing! I shared this with my daughter and her theater friends. I think each of them feel the same as theater is their home and where they feel included and accepted and creative and secure and many other things too. I pray this feeling continues in college!
There was another thread on here about how close these kids become and you can see it at Unifieds. They have their group of friends they have established over the audition period through their schools, summer programs and coaches. It is a small world, for sure. The article is interesting. Never thought about how those college professors all had their own group when they were our kids age. What a supportive community to be a part of. Great article. Thanks for sharing, @mom4bwayboy
