Race in Ivy League Admissions

I have seen mixed results when this question is posed, so I decded to post it for myself. Does race really play a considerably large factor in whether you get in? For example, if an Asian student with a 4.0 GPA, 36 ACT, and 2300 SAT who played cello got 6 years was compared to an African American student with a 3.7 GPA, 34 ACT, and 2100 SAT who worked at McDonalds, who would have a better chance of getting in? Is there really a race quota? What schools do/do not use race as a factor in admissions?

Refer to the common data set to check if race is considered or not at specific colleges. No two students are ever compared the way you are making up, no.

Thank you!
