<p>There have only been like 7 deaths in fencing since 1937… playing football is more dangerous. heck, driving a car is more dangerous.</p>
<p>Wearing the equipment makes you pretty safe.</p>

<p>I would still rather play football/soccer, American football, rugby, etc. But yes, for those who are interested, it is pretty safe.</p>

<p>Well it wouldn’t really matter to me, as I’m sure I wouldn’t make the tryouts for any sports at my school. 
Some of those guys are intense.</p>
<p>I’d try it, it’s not that common of a sport in this country you can really make a name for yourself and win some medals.</p>

<p>I wanted to try fencing, back in the days of my youth (8th grade). Then I decided to join soccer like a normal kid.</p>
<p>Fencing is awesome. I tried it in 4th grade and loved it. That was one of the warning signs that I would be a theater person :D</p>

<p>@Descuff I was just reassuring Stressedout. The main danger (and it must be pretty rare) is when the swords splinter. I think it’s more dangerous for pro fencers because they’re more intense.</p>

<p>Casino Royale and Skyfall were much better than Die Another Day. Quantum of Solace was meh, so I won’t say that it was better but the other two were. Connery of course, is classic.</p>
