Raincoat Recommendations?

Anyone have any good recommendations for raincoats? I want something that is water proof and would keep me warm in cold rain. Thanks for any ideas

Get a shell at EMS. They have a longer one that is sort of mid calf length. It can be worn over a fleece jacket as well. DD took one to rainy equatorial Africa, and stayed nice and dry. Oh…it has a hood.

Agree with thumper. A shell and some fleece and/or wool layers would be more versatile than just a heavy coat. REI has all sorts of options. NorhFace, Marmot, Patagonia, REI’s own brand - they all are great. Look for “waterproof” not just “water resistant”.

Here is a good guidet:

What about something like this

Goodness, thumper, we’ve got great minds! the coat that you linked is the one I was going to post. :)

BB, it’s a nice coat! And it’s on sale right now too!!
