Raise your hand if you are a Duck Dynasty fan

Love the show. It reminds me of Leave it to Beaver, which I enjoyed as a kid.

I was 1/2 hr from the headquarters when doing college visits this spring and regret not visiting.

The clean cut, minister, oldest son will be on the show this season. It should be interesting.

I’ve heard from people that hsve met them that they are the same in real life as they are on TV.

Not only is it entertaining and different but it’s a pleasure to watch a family that really gets along and has such good humor.

Hey!

Happy, Happy, Happy!

I’m sure I have not shocked anyone here who knows anything about me.

I just started watching and it is hysterical. I don’t usu ally laugh out loud but I do
watching this show, the one where he was handcuffed to Si was hysterical. I gotta pee!

My family went by the headquarters last weekend on the way back from our trip to Orange Beach. I love that show!

Very few DD fans on CC it seems. The show must appeal to a different demographic than those who post here.

The show is wildly popular where I live. I watched and don’t feel the need to tune in every week, but I do admire their Christianity and response to advertisers who wanted them to “tone it down.”

We got started watching the show because a friend of ours really loves it. It didn’t seem like something he would like so we decided to give it a try. Glad we did. the show where OSHA had to give a lesson had me cracking up big time. And the wine making great too.

Advertisers wanted them to tone their Christian faith down? I hadn’t heard that.

It is interesting that you assume the lack of response to this thread
is related to to some inherent CC demographic. Maybe it related to the fact that you started the thread on a weekend that is:

Breathtakingly georgeous, at least in my part of the country… Cooler than average temps, low humidity, blue skies. A day to be outside, not on the internet.

The last weekend before Labor Dsy. End of the summer for many, for us it is the last weekend before the K-12 kids return to school.

Move in weekend for numerous colleges around here.

In other words, a very slow weekend on CC for most topics. Try asking about Duck Dynasty on a rainy evening in September.

I recently watched an episode, and thoroughly enjoyed it.

It wasn’t that nice in my neck of the woods today, unfortunately.

Our family agrees on little when it comes to TV shows, but we do love to watch DD together. It is kitchy and silly and you can tell they all are genuine. No one who knows our family would ever guess we are addicted to this show.

They are also Christian.: )

Although the show is HUGE in my area, I just can’t get into any of the reality family shows (Honey Boo Boo, Kardashian, The Shed). Whenever they show things that are obviously set up by a producer they lose me.
The Duck Dynasty guys did come to the county fair and do a talk…and it sold out.

All are college educated, very well-spoken, stable families, religious—so different from other 'reality’programs. Honestly, I can’t stomach the Jersey Shore brand of programming. Would much rather meet Jase than Snooki!!

Huge DD fans in my house. I’m not a big fan of any other reality shows, because they usually try to make viewers fell better about themselves by making the tv participants look like idiots, but DD doesn’t do that. Love the relationships the kids have with the adults.

Saw 3 episodes today for the first time after reading this thread.

I saw wedding prep, wedding and getting one guy ready for a date.

Pretty hilarious. Looks like they are getting rich too.

<a href=“A Calculated Push Into Entertainment Lifts ‘Duck Dynasty’ Family’s Fortunes - The New York Times”>A Calculated Push Into Entertainment Lifts ‘Duck Dynasty’ Family’s Fortunes - The New York Times;

I watch this show from time to time. I love Jase/Jace and the grandpa. The mom annoys me a bit, but I think it is just her voice. My favs were the hunting trip in the RV and when they took the daughter’s boyfriend hunting to see what he was made of.

I admire that they stick to their family values - like when Mom decided she wanted to see what it was like to own a restaurant and the entire family came to support her even though some knew it wasn’t going to last.

They do act a bit over the top at times, but they hold true to what is important. I saw Willy interviewed in the recent past and he said either the network, advertisers or producers wanted to nix the religious comments and the prayer at the family dinners. The family said no religion then no show…and good for them. I cannot not see what harm could come from having viewers watch a family thank their God for food and family before dinner and then eat together.

My S1 has a DD bathroom rug in his apartment. While I like the show, I would draw the line at seeing their faces everytime I step out of the shower!

This born and raised Yankee/ Chicago city girl loves the show. My son was watching it when he was home this summer and got me hooked.

I agree with the OP, it’s refreshing to watch a show that revolves around family values, respect, and faith.

Uncle Sye is a hoot as is every other man on the show. My husband has learned a thing or two from Willie and Jase about how to let your wife think she’s won the argument, even if she has’nt-haha! Gotta love Southern men and their mommas, they taught them well!!
