On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the most difficult to transfer into) and using any knowledge you have of these schools, rank the universities I have listed below. I am trying to come up with a more refined list of schools I will be applying to. Thanks!

University of Connecticut

Penn State University Park

University of Maryland

Towson University

University of Pittsburgh

What are you majoring in? Its hard to rank colleges in general when they all have their own strengths. Based on general acceptance statistics it would be something like this , but they are all really close.
U Maryland
U Pittsburgh
Penn State
U Conn
Towson

Like nyu44 said though, you should post some stats if you want to know the difficulty of transferring into these colleges.

Oh wow, I’m sorry, I meant to copy and paste my statistics in from an earlier post and I didn’t notice somehow. Here they are…

I am currently a freshman at Marywood University and I am looking to transfer to elsewhere next year. Since it is only the end of the first semester, I only have those grades to share with you, which are all A’s and B’s (3.4 GPA). I also write for the school’s paper, work as a DJ for my school’s radio station, and am about to take a leadership position in a club I am enrolled in (Public Relations Student Society of America - this is also related to my major). I am thinking of joining Student Government to show my leadership schools and boost my chances of being admitted. I plan to participate in any of these things that are offered wherever I am admitted and also I was also granted a tryout for UConn’s track team.

I do not have my have my exact high school statistics on hand, but I know my final GPA was 3.4 and my SAT scores were mostly average and above average in some areas.

Let’s just say my final GPA comes to between 3.5-3.8. With all this in mind, what are my chances? Thanks guys.

I actually have another question within this thread that I hope can be answered…

I have come to understand that a good amount of kids who transfer are kids who are coming from community colleges with a 4.0 GPA. How would I (and others) be weighed against these kids with a 3.5-3.8 GPA coming from a 4-year school?
