Rank of Difficulty in Classes for First Quarter

I am planning to take 4 of the following classes for fall quarter:

Muir 40, HILD2(US History), Math 10A/20A, Econ 1, Freshmen Seminar, HILD7, VIS 22 Film

What is the rank of difficulty for all the classes? GEs and non GE wise…

Is Muir 40 harder than Math 10A? 20A? Is HILD7 easier than HILD2? etc…

my prediction is this… correct me if i am wrong…from hardest to easiest with freshmen seminar being the easier…

1]Math 20A
2]Muir 40
3]Math 10A
4]HID2A (American History)
5]Econ 1
6]Vis22 (Visual Arts/Film)
7]Freshman Seminar

thats looks about rite. gl with everything

I heard MUIR40 is pretty easy; almost no one gets A’s in the class, but I hear most kids do get at least B’s in the class.

As for the History courses, choose the 7 or the 2 sequence based on what you’re most interested, man. It’s as easy as that.

I’ve heard the film classes are pretty difficult if you’re not a crazy film fanatic.

Yeah, I agree with Kenny on the HILD classes…also, HILD 7 fulfills the cultural diversity crap and 2 doesn’t. Something to think about.

hm i’m taking math 20a this fall quarter as well.

I heard those muir writing classes were pretty hard. It’s not impossible to get an a, but you would have to work hard to get one… My OL got an A in it.

And I am also taking math 20a

what in the world is the seminar thing? Is it a class? How many units is it and why is it worth taking? Does it eliminate certain GEs?

helps transition to college better…

I believe it’s for freshmen only??? It is a class, but only meets about an hour a week. Freshmen seminar is 1 unit, which means very little homework. You would probably just need to do some stuff so you can discuss some stuff in class. You can also pick what subject seminar class you want. It is worth taking because it 1) will help your tansition to college better (what mrxalleycat said) and 2) will help you meet other freshmen. The seminar class will not eliminate ANY GEs

Is it only for Muir ?

i don’t think so

its offered for freshmen and soph. and to all students from all 6 colleges
