You’ve got really good stats; I say that if you attend a top, rigorous school, you’ve got a great chance at Duke as well.

The University of Edinburgh is in Scotland.

Ok, University of Edinburgh in Scotland then.

A very important factor you have not listed is course rigor. Have you taken a lot of AP and honors classes?

Right now I’m taking AP Chemistry, AP US History, and AP Spanish, along with Pre-Calculus Honors, English Honors, and Theology Honors (it’s the hardest schedule I can take).

1-best chance of getting in
8-worst chance of getting in

Johns Hopkins - 7
Rice - 5
Duke - 8
Vanderbilt - 2
Georgetown - 4
UNC-out of state - 3
U of I-in state - 1

In my opinion, chancing the odds of someone getting into a university is useless. I feel that I’m a perfect example. I got into University of Pennsylvania, Duke, Cornell, Johns Hopkins, Vanderbilt, and UC Berkeley, but got waitlisted at Georgetown and rejected twice (one from appeal) by UCLA. It’s all random.
