which order of these following undergrad business and economic programs would be the best to give me the best chance at i banking or consulting.

University of San Diego
University of California Santa Barbara
University of California San Diego
San Diego State University
University of California Irvine
University of California Davis
Cal Poly San Luis Obispo

Thank you very much,
im just asking for which schools give me the best chance at those two jobs

UCSD is probably the only campus that MAY open even the slightest door for ibanking/consulting position. It’s still considered a non-target school (even UCLA is considered a semi-target school based solely on its prestige) so you will have to do extremely extremely well and literally be obsessive with ibanking/consulting to land yourself an interview with any of the firms in California. But then, IBanking is relatively scarce in the SoCal so you may find yourself faring better up in the Bay Area for some opportunity, which, coming from a SoCal school, will add to your already-heavy burden (regional biasedness always kicks in).

The rest of the schools will all be super difficult for you if you want to rely solely on the school name.

NONE of the schools will help over the other for ibanking. UCSD may send one or two a year, nothing special. UCSB has a relatively strong network in ibanking, both bulge and boutique. There is a small bank over here that consistently hires interns for their commuications ibanking service unit. UCI has a great location near newport which is littered with hedge funds, pe/vc money managers, funds, etc
