I am scared that ECs will be my weakness.

Oh yeah, I’m second generation African American, and my dad got his PhD from Hopkins and is current faculty member at JHU Bloomberg School of Public Health.

uhm, you’re in. but how the heck did you manage to have 14 AP’s?? did you start taking ap’s freshman year or something? at my school we weren’t allowed to take ap’s until junior year. so i finished off with 10 total.

Nah, took two sophomore year, taking six this year, and six senior year. Our school lets you go AP crazy and load up. Last year, we had a senior who went to UMCP and skipped two whole years and was more than half way to a master’s degree in Mathematics. It is very possible at my school.

i’m almost glad my school isn’t like that! that would’ve added an extra year of stress to my high school career and i would’ve had to have taken even more ap’s to keep up with the rest of my class. but it sure looks good on a transcript :)
