Prompt: is it more important and valuable to acquire knowledge or to take action?

The ability to take action is far more crucial than the acquirement of knowledge and information. Though some may believe that knowledge is the key to success, power, and life, the fact is that without the capability to act, the abundance of knowledge, that one may possess, renders useless in the situation. By applying this principle I was able to become the president of robotics club and in the same way, a century ago, Elizabeth Cady Stanton was able to start a revolution that would change women suffrage rights forever.
During the end of freshman year, robotics club was hosting its annual leadership election. The current president, who had brought the team to success, was graduating. Due to the open position in the club, talk was going on about who will be the next leader. All of my peers knew about the circumstances, but none possessed the ability to act on the knowledge they had. I decided that the only way to achieve this power and success was by taking action, not by simply assimilating knowledge. Due to my prompt decision to run, I was the only candidate, and now I am the president of my school’s Robotics Club.
During the 1800’s many women believed that they should be given more freedoms, one of which included the right to vote, a privilege that only men possessed at the time. Although these women had the knowledge, none of them took action, except for Elizabeth Cady Stanton. She took charge and fought against society in order to gain said rights for women. Not only was she an outspoken advocate of women’s rights, but also the other women’s rights, such as property rights and employment and income rights. Due to her actions, women now have the same freedoms as a man.
Action is a superior force than knowledge. Without taking action, nothing will get done in life, and the encroachment of society will cease to occur. Thus, taking action is the key to progress and so action must be taken where there is a hindrance.
