Do you agree that “beautiful things can come from unpromising beginnings”?

Beauty is not found only in inception, but also in the bloom. Just as a plain caterpillar morphs into a magnificent spectacle, anything of unadvantageous, simple, or bleak beginnings can develop into a paragon of beauty. Many creations of man are perceived as beautiful, and indeed are, but more profound are the meager circumstances in which society and the world we know were created. Humans, the perseveres of beauty, and in aggregate an example of beauty, came from an unpromising dawn.
Our most major creations -our complex relationships amongst ourselves, on both a micro and macro level- stem from unpromising, and even ugly beginnings. For example, a dear friend of mine, Eddie, and I despised each other. In my first grade fit of jealously, I sneakingly snatched his most precious pebble that he found in the ravine and flung it into the devouring Juniper bushes, never to be found a again. A decade (and an apology) later, we maintain a wonderful friendship. On a larger scale, our beautiful commune, society, came from violent and brutish conditions. Philosopher John Locke conjectured that man in a state of nature is warring, scared, and short-lived. From such nature an ordered society emerged, with man living together in relative safety and peace. Dangers still existed, however, as society developed. Two founding British colonies, Chesapeake and Plymouth, encountered unsettling beginnings. Plymouth underwent frigidly harsh winters, ruining crops and discouraging additional settlers. Chesapeake Bay, with much stagnant water, humidity, and warmth, nurtured dysentery and malaria. Despite these inauspicious conditions and with the help of native tribes, the colonial settlers subsisted. From that seed, the United States of America grew, eventually establishing liberties found no where else in the world at such time. From sometimes humble, sometimes hostile beginnings, our beautiful relationship of man emerged.
The origin of our species and of the earth itself sprung forth from unlikely chance. From planetary collisions and a super collection of condensed mass a suitable climate came to fruition. From over a hundred thousand years of intricate evolution an intelligent species came into being, once simply an ape-like creature. Humanity, a prime image of beauty, arose from the most unpromising of events.
