There is more to admissions than just numbers. Much, much more. And you can rate your transcript yourself without posting on this forum. Ask yourself how you compare to your classmates. If you’re top 5% then you may be competitive in browns pool. Regardless, I do not think Brown is a good fit for you, and that will severely affect your app.

is 12th grade projected or actual?
if that’s actual, i think that you’re in a pretty good position. brown does say that the transcript is the most important part of the application, but there definitely is a lot more to the process.

your sat and sat 2 scores are very strong, so i think a good application with strong essays and recs should put you in a good position (providing your 12th grade grades are true)

With 9 APs, they won’t be.

Don’t overload your schedule, because if it’ll make your grades suffer, you won’t get anywhere.

chillax. You really, really don’t need to be posting your transcript on this forum: it’s not worth the worrying and stress it’ll cause. And yeah, if you need other people to affirm your path in life (i.e. affirming you’re good enough, you’re choosing the “right” courses, you’re doing the “right” ECs, you have the “right” set of beliefs, etc.), Brown might not be the place for you.

Thank you, I am certainly aware of the fact that Brown is one of the top institutions in the US. I am also deeply cognizant of the fact that one must make his or her own decisions. However, I just wanted to gain some insight from the others, eventually learning more in the college admissions process. Hope this clarifies my intentions in posting a thread in the Brown forum. Best of luck to all of you.

As chsowlflax17 said, chillax. Also, a word of advice: when you’re writing your college essay, avoid using excessively hyperbolic language. It comes off as pretentious and as if you’re trying too hard. Which is not what you’re aiming for, right?

@Picasso, oh did my post come across as pretentious??
Lol, sorry for that.
And thank you! that is such a nice advice.
I will make sure not to write in an ostentatious tone.

Atypical… are you being sarcastic?
I am actually worried about getting 4-5 B+s junior year.

Thank you for the SAT scores.

Hi henrymoore ,

I promised I would ‘chance you.’ :)

You have a VERY impressive transcript and fabulous SAT scores.

I can’t see you not getting into the college of your choice , assuming you write a great resume(Which I’m sure you will.).

Congrats!

I smell grade inflation.

Grade inflation…
Really?
I think grade deflation.

Inflation is when everyone gets As without trying hard.

At risk of going off topic, did you go with henrymoore like the sculptor?
