Wake Forest

From what I’ve seen… and I’m probably wrong.

Princeton
Duke
Stanford
Wake Forest
Rice
Vanderbilt
Northwestern
Notre Dame
UIUC

Haven’t heard of the last 3 much.

I might as well give my own opinion:

Princeton
Stanford
Northwestern
Duke
Notre Dame
Rice
Vanderbilt
Wake Forest
UIUC

Princeton
Stanford
Duke
Northwestern
Rice
Notre Dame
Vanderbilt
Wake Forest
UIUC

Based on admit rate and applicant pool strength.

Princeton
Stanford
Duke
Rice
Northwestern
Notre Dame
Vanderbilt
Wake Forest
UIUC

I second westsidewolf1989’s order. It’s harder to get into Rice than Northwestern.

I might switch Princeton and Stanford around but again it is difficult to tell. Stanford rejects so many qualified applicants because they look for something that you do beyond the classroom, which in that sense, makes it a harder school to get into than Princeton. The rest of Westsidewolf’s list looks correct.

Princeton - on a scale of 1 to 10 its a 2i

hotasice and wolfside,

Northwestern and Rice are about the same.
Here are the admission stats from collegeboard.com:
Northwestern
Admit Rate: 27%
SAT Critical Reading: 670 - 750
SAT Math: 680 - 770
SAT Writing: 660 - 750
ACT Composite: 30 - 34
Rice
Admit Rate: 25%
SAT Critical Reading: 640 - 750
SAT Math: 670 - 780
SAT Writing: 640 - 730
ACT Composite: 29 - 34

Rice has slightly lower admit rate while Northwestern has slightly higher test score ranges.

yeah both are pretty much interchangeable. duke, rice, and northwestern are all relatively close.

Duke Owns!!

But Rice admits fewer students than Northwestern, 750+ to nearly 2000.

Stanford
Princeton

Duke

Rice / Northwestern / Notre Dame

Vanderbilt

Wake Forest

UIUC

I would agree with RML. I think Notre Dame is also about the same level as Rice and Northwestern. It may seem easier to get into just by looking at posts on CC, but I think this is a bit deceiving because ND is more self-selecting than Rice or Northwestern. The admission stats are about the same as Rice or NU:

Percent applicants admitted: 24%
SAT Critical Reading: 640 - 750
SAT Math: 660 - 760
SAT Writing: 630 - 720
ACT Composite: 31 - 34

Slightly lower SAT range, slightly higher ACT range, and slightly lower admit rate.

Is wake forest really harder to get into than UIUC??
