I’m a parent but I’m going to share my daughter’s projected freshman schedule.
@Phantomlink I would consider that to be a 9/10, only because there is no foreign language.
Freshman year:
English Honors 1
Geometry Honors
Biology Honors
Either APHG or WH Honors
Spanish 1
Modern Dance
Journalism 1
EC’s: Allstar cheerleader for 4 years, middle school dance team, and trying out for high school dance team
@iflycuzican For foreign language I completed Spanish 1, Spanish 2, and Spanish 3 Honors. I quit after that because it was too difficult for me and my grades were dropping (Spanish 1 - A, Spanish 2 - B, Spanish 3 - C) I didn’t want to risk a D for a 4th year of spanish.
@iflycuzican 4 honors, and well-rounded in all disciplines? 10/10, I don’t see anything that could be improved
Okay, here’s my senior year (max is 3 APs, need waiver for 4 – but colleges don’t know this… Hehehe)
Chemistry 1
AP English Lang & Comp
AP Economics
Facing History
Italian 2
AP Calculus BC
Symphonic Band
No honors at my school
6/10
Junior:
STEM Engineering
Multi-variable Calculus/Linear Algebra
AP English Language
AP Chemistry
AP Physics C Mechanics/Electricity and Magnetism
AP U.S. History
AP Statistics
11/10
@Phantomlink. That makes more sense. I just didn’t know if you might be saving it for junior and senior year.
No schedule above.
Freshman:
-Honors Math II (Geometry and Algebra 2)
-Honors Communication Skills (All freshman are required to take it. Basically it is a grammar class.)
-Health and Physical Education
-Honors American History I
-Honors English I
-Honors Math III (Rest of Geom. and Alg2)
-Honors Biology
-Honors Personal Finance (business elective)
1/10 @IrrationalPepsi
Your Classes are irrelevant and aren’t rigorous
IB MYP Math
IB MYP English
IB MYP Chem
IB MYP Physics
AP World
AP Spanish 4
@IrrationalPepsi Do you have a block schedule? They are a pain in the butt. Anyways, I disagree with @HSTeen .You are taking honors classes in the 4 core categories. I’m assuming you want to get rid of your requirements as soon as possible and there is no way around taking communication skills.
@HSTeen I know very little about IB program, but I rate it a 10/10.
Voices of Modern Culture (Most advanced English course I could take) - I finished AP Lit/Comp
Men’s Chorale (Regular)
Gov/Econ (Regular)
AP Statistics (Most advanced Math course I could take) - I finished AP Calc BC

Teacher’s Assistant (Didn’t know what else to do with this free period)
