Wow. All of your schools offer so many AP classes! Junior here. I have:

•Algebra III (ahead of most classmates bc i started credits in 7th grade)
•A&P
•Showchoir
•AP English
•Drama III
•Health (Yes I’m taking it late… My school stuck me in STEM when i tried to take Spanish in 9th bc they lost the teacher and said it was weighted so that I should stay in it)
•APUSH

All in all I suck at life and I’m so jealous that yall’s schools offer so many AP classes! The only one I’ve taken before now is WHAP and that was the very first year of it.

8/10 Since your school doesn’t offer much APs, and that’s probably why you aren’t taking tons and tons of them. I haven’t heard of Algebra III or Snowchoir, since our high school doesn’t offer it, but A&P sounds very fun. (I love science)

I’m actually in 8th grade right now, and I’m taking Geometry H, Social Studies, Science, English, Spanish 1, Health (in a rotation), Phys Ed (in a rotation), Chorus (in a rotation), Orchestra (in a rotation), Family and Consumer Sci, and Art. But that’s not really a schedule that can be rated since I don’t have much choice in what classes I’m taking (I could only choose 2 of the classes up there).

In 9th grade, I am DEFINITELY taking the following classes (our school has given us…for some reason…a lot of time to decide)

  • Chemistry H
  • Algebra 2 H
  • Phys Ed 9 (mandatory)
  • Global Studies 1 H
  • English 1 H
  • Spanish 2 H
  • Metal Arts 1 the first semester, and Ceramics 2 the second semester
  • Also one study hall period to complete homework and such.

8/10 you have no APs (idk if your school offers APs for freshman or not) but you have lots of Honors classes.

Freshman:

Introduction to IT
German 1
APHG
AP Bio
Algebra 2 Honors
PLTW (inrroduction to engineering design)
English 1 Honors

This is not a schedule, just replying to @Pedro73, no, my school doesn’t offer any APs for 9th graders at all, not even Human Geography or anything. They only offer around 3 APs for sophomores, but they offer 12ish APs for juniors and seniors, which doesn’t really make sense to me…

@raventhemage it should be a 10/10 then. If you are the taking the most challenging classes your school offers it should be a 10.

@APSATScholar Why are you taking a junior English class and 4 or 5 AP classes?

Some go through unnecessary means in order of receiving a harder workload, which I find somewhat strange. That, or the poster is fibbing about his courses.

@awesomepolyglot His schedule would actually be pretty common at most schools. In my school for example, there are 8 sophomore classes of AP Lang.

@lnicole DECA is a class in your school???

@noplayallwork yes  we call it research marketing but we are part of DECA and everything we work on is for the competition.

@lnicole You guys practice for an hour every day??? Does your school get like a ton of people winning rewards in ICDC from that much practice?

@noplayallwork we do have a lot of people that go to nationals and win sometimes. Most of the work during school is putting together all of the presentations and essays, and then we practice when it gets closer states/nationals.

@lnicole A lot of people win at nationals at your school?

Are you from Ontario by any chance? They always dominate during internationals.

@noplayallwork Well, many people make it to nationals. I know that one of our teams placed very high at internationals last year (I wasn’t in DECA last year so not exactly sure what all of that entailed). Nope, I’m from Michigan!
