@MNgurl101 not really sure what dual enrollment is but that seems like a very packed schedule! Good luck! 10/10
rising senior
AP English Literature
AP Calculus AB
Honors Physics or AP Environmental Science (debating)
AP Comparative Government
AP Spanish Language
Latin 3
Sociology
Intro to Law
already or currently taking: AP Euro, APUSH, AP Lang, AP Macroeconomics
8- At my school at least APUSH, chemistry, and AP Lang are so easy they’re basically jokes. Can’t say the same for yours, good luck on your future AP tests!
Rising Junior:
AP Calc AB
AP Statistics
AP US History
AP Language
AP Physics 1
Hnrs Spanish 4
Adv. Debate
Thanks for the support! My only concern has to do with being able to handle the rigor of 6 AP’s, but in terms of course-selection at face-value, the schedule seems to be pretty well versed.
I like your decision of going with Calc BC as an alternative to further college level math, as it creates some breathing room for Chem and Spanish.
@needtosucceed27
Hey, nice to see you on this thread. I’d say my choice in taking AP Spanish and AP Gov is more heavily influenced on trying to maintain class rank, but the other APs rooted in genuine interest.
I quite like the way Precalc balances out the rigor of AP Physics 1 + 2. Your schedule is solid overall!
@reallypanicked 10 - so many AP’s! Good luck in junior year!
Rising junior
AP Physics 1
AP Chem
AP Seminar
Honors Precalc
French 4
Orchestra
US History (I could never handle APUSH - it’s near-impossible at my school)
@hsstudent13 10! That’s a really well-rounded schedule. I’ve heard that AP Seminar is pretty difficult and is a lot of work; it’s also a bit rocky because it’s a pretty new AP course. Taking both AP Physics 1 and AP Chem is going to be pretty difficult, too. Your other classes should be a breeze, though. Good luck with your classes.
Sorry for disrupting this thread a little bit, I just wanted to rate @hsstudent13 's schedule.
@NoPlay 9/10- Wow, I’m impressed that you’re taking 4 aps as a sophomore. Then again, I come from a school where you don’t get to choose your social studies class till junior year, so my school wouldn’t allow APUSH, AP World, AP psych in 10th grade. Are you very interested in social studies or history? I notice your schedule is heavily biased toward social studies courses, which may not be a good idea if your interests lie elsewhere.
I am a rising senior who will have already taken APUSH, AP Bio, and self studying for AP Chinese Language/Culture since my school doesn’t offer AP Chinese as a course. All that will be done junior year. But here’s my schedule for after that’s over:
AP Lang
AP Calc BC
AP Chem (may replace with AP Physics 1/2)
AP US Govt and Politics
Personal Finance
Construction Technology (an engineering elective where you build stuff)
Chamber Choir- I have been in choir throughout high school and was in All-Suburban Honor Choir as well.
Random PE class I can’t remember the name of
I have Personal Finance and Construction Technology because everyone must fulfill 1 full year of “Practical Arts” (aka. life skill/career exploration), and these courses are one semester each. The Personal Finance requirement could be covered by Econ/AP Econ, but then I would be missing Practical Arts credit, and these full-year social studies classes would probably not fit in my schedule.
9/10, that’s a lot of AP classes AND you’re self-studying, wow!
Rising Junior (Tentative Schedule)
Photography 2 and 3 (block period)
Digital Photography 1
Dual Enrollment American History (to take pace 3 days a week before school)
Pre-Calculus Honors
AP Chemistry
AP Language and Composition
and likely a free period due to the copious amounts of homework I will likely recieve, or I may take some online classes, I’m still unsure.
@doctorllama13 I wanted to try reviving this thread! Fellow rising junior year here as well! I’d give a 9/10. You have a lot of college courses with the DE American History, AP Chem, and AP English, while signing up for an honors course and some online courses. It must be tough to pull off! I just recommend that you take a foreign language, and it’d be a 10/10. Best of luck!
This is my schedule. I am a rising junior, and before someone rates me, thanks for doing it! I appreciate it!
AP English Language and Composition
AP US History
Pre-Calculus Honors w/Trig
AP Physics 1
AP Psychology
Spanish 4 Honors (I’m very happy they added honors level for the fourth year of a world language.)
Philosophy and World Religions
Def a 10/10 from me. Assuming that Philosophy is as hard at your school as it is at mine, I can’t see how you could possibly make that any more rigorous. Awesome!
I’m a rising sophomore:
AP BC Calculus
AP US History
AP Biology
Anatomy & Physiology Honors
English 2 Honors
Chinese 3 Honors
Chamber Choir
(Sorry for this message. I don’t mean to disrupt the flow, but I wanted to respond to @chrysalism.) @chrysalism I wasn’t aware Philosophy was hard at your school. At mine, it is known to be an easy A as you do the classwork and projects, but there is a lot of thinking involved, and it’s not a class where you can sleep. Thanks for the rating! Because I’m commenting anyway, I wanted to rate yours as well. I give you a 10/10 as well! Lots of honors and AP courses! Good luck!
I'm currently a junior who takes APUSH and Lang and I absolutely love them! At my school APUSH is a lot of work (it's only 1 yr tho and idk what it is at your school), so AP Psych seems like a lot of work, plus you already have a study. I take 3 AP's right now so I think that's a good number for junior year, especially if people don't take a lot of AP's at your school. Maybe take Precalc or Alg 2 if you haven't taken it yet? I find it really helpful even tho I'm sooo bad at math. Works really well if you plan on taking Physics later on or for the SAT. :)
Rising senior
AP Calc AB
AP Physics C
AP Studio Art: Drawing
AP Psych
AP Lit
Accelerated French 4
(maybe?) Video Production for 1/2 year or a full year study
For your grade, this is good. Introducing your first AP class in sophomore year will be beneficial to you in your junior year, and I wish I had done the same. One is best for your first time, since AP classes take a while to get used to. Don’t make the mistake of taking too many APs next year because of pressure from other students. The other classes look great, and the language class will be a good break from the rest of your more rigorous classes.
10! That sounds really intense. AP Bio is an insanely difficult class, I hear.
Rising Sophomore. I had to switch up my schedule because I’m moving to a different school and they offer different things.
Honors English 10
Honors Pre-Calculus/Trig (dual credit) or AP Calculus AB (probably the former)
Honors Chemistry 1
Health and Wellness Education/Physical Education 2
AP European History
Spanish 3
AP Environmental Science (this is my 0 hour class, meaning I can take 8 if I can get myself to school early)
Creative Writing
