“Space Oddity” by David Bowie.

8 of 10. David Bowie ftw.

Knee Play 1, from “Einstein on the Beach” (my obsession for today), Philip Glass

Not bad, but 0/10 on principle because it’s Philip Glass.

Like Spinning Plates - Radiohead

Not bad, but 0/10 on principle because it’s Radiohead :b (6/10 - I could enjoy it in small doses, but it would never be my favorite song)

looks up and sees Samuel Barber posted by above user

you need to suggest classical music for me to listen to. First, I’ll weave my tale -

I used to listen to classical music quite often, but eventually grew out of it. Now that I want to feel like I’m more intelligent, and also being mature enough to not get bored by it, I have begun to enjoy it again. I enjoy more intimate music, I guess. I absolutely love Carlos Ch

Ooh ooh ooh Chavez is nice…7/10

Did you like the Barber? It’s one of my favorite pieces. Beautiful development.

Engelkonzert from Mathis der Maler by Paul Hindemith

6.66666667/10 - the crescendos and decrescendos are nice, and it is apparently about the Isenheim Altarpiece

“Magnificat” - Arvo P

1/10 my Bar Harbor Area friend :(

Day In, Day Out by Streetlight Manifesto (don’t worry, the first 5 seconds aren’t like the rest of the song hahaha)

9/10

Listen Up - Oasis

1/10

Mathematics - Mos Def

4/10

No Leaf Clover - Metallica

5/10

4 Better or 4 Worse - Pharcyde

Just a warning, the third verse is supremely messed up.

4/10

Cheap and Cheerful – The Kills

5/10

Forever - Chris Brown

6.2/10

Metamorphosis, Movement 1 - Philip Glass

4/10. I got bored. And that doesn’t happen with all minimalist music - Adams’s operas, Riley’s “In C”, and even most of La Monte Young’s works keep my on my toes. I don’t know, I just felt like this was a typical bit of simple, neoromantic-ish music just played over and over with a little variation, which tired me a little.

Viola Concerto, mvmt. 1 - Alfred Schnittke

5.5/10 - good drama near the end

“Saviour Machine” - David Bowie

8/10

Teenage Riot - Sonic Youth

8/10
It’s less weird than most Sonic Youth songs I’ve heard, but I like weird music.

Belle and Sebastian - Belle and Sebastian

Not as bland as most Belle and Sebastian songs, 7/10

69 Police - David Holmes
