This information’s rather vague to protect my identity. I’m aware that accurate chancing is impossible over the internet, but I’d like to get a general feel. Any opinions would be welcome.

Residence: International

Applying: Harvard and Princeton. Possibly Yale, Stanford or MIT if I have time. I know that these are all exceptionally difficult to get into, but I figure that my ‘safeties’ back home (which I’d be very glad to attend) are better than almost all of the other American universities in the areas that I want to study, so there’s no point leaving the country unless I get accepted into one of the above.

Stats:

SAT I: I took one ‘trial run’ of the SAT I without study (bar the online test) - my lack of preparation was due to the fact that the test occured just before a round of my national exams. I scored just below 2300, but I knew at the time that I’d completely bombed out: my essay was illegible, and I didn’t have time to do the essay structure expected in my country’s national exams (although I later discovered that this wasn’t needed…). In short, I performed massively below my potential - the online test indicated a score of about 2380, so I’ll be resitting. I’m sure that I’ll do much better.

SAT II: Not taken, but expecting straight 800s as I’ve had olympiad experience in all of the domains.

School: Expecting to graduate in at least the top 0.2% of the country - I’m hoping for higher. Currently studying at my country’s 2nd best university in conjunction with my high school diploma, and averaging well within the high distinction range. I topped my state in a 12th grade subject taken in the 11th grade, and I’ve been in the top 10 in my grade every year at my high school (top 10 receive prizes)… this sounds quite mediocre, but it’s by far the most competitive high school in my state, and I’ve generally been right at the top of the bunch.

Academic achievement:

An award at ONE of IMO, IPhO or IChO. I’m reluctant to say which olympiad to protect my identity. But I’m a girl competing in one of these areas, which to my knowledge is quite rare (I was the top performing girl in my country, in any case).
A qualification for the training program for one of the other olympiads, which I had to decline as we’re restricted to one science.
State Winner/2nd in the country in a competition that involved writing, science and leadership. I’ll leave it at that.
A state position (positions are given to the top 3) when I entered the state-wide LOTE competition in the 9th grade.
Awarded a scholarship at the local university several years ago.
Research at one of the top universities in my country
Writing prizes
public speaking awards (both these and writing aren’t school based…)
Debating team
Clubs and such, in which I had founding/leadership roles
Often on school maths/science teams, which have won state prizes. Not going to detail due to privacy.
Inventions/other things. These were done before the 9th grade, but the might be of interest.

Leadership:

On my school leadership team, which involved a lot of interschool coordination this year. A lot. Not going to detail it for privacy reasons.
A lot of leadership in my school based ECs, and a LOT of music leadership. Not going to go into detail here.
Represented my country at overseas leadership conferences.
Worked on policy development in the 10th grade.
Wrote articles for the government and was published my statewide newspaper advocating human rights.
A bit of volunteer work here and there.
Leadership roles in statewide musical things. Not going to detail.
Professional MUN.

Music (xD… as you can tell, I love music…):

Diploma of music awarded several years ago
Highest grades of music reached on two instruments (continued to diploma on one)
Principal position in the top statewide youth orchestra for several years
Top principal position in a series of statewide youth orchestras, including summer schools
A number of prizes… not going to detail them.
In basically everything I can be in at school for music…
Quartet for my statewide youth orchestra

Eh, there are probably more ECs/awards that I’ve forgotten. But the ones above are probably the ones that I enjoy the most, and are hence the most important ones.

References: Should be excellent. Then again, that’s what most people say on here, so I’m not sure how much weight they hold.

Essays: Should be quirky.

Please give some feedback :)
