Unfortunately, no one called me back, and it’s 5 my time and 6 their time, so I don’t think I’m getting a response today. I don’t want them to call in the day tomorrow because I’ll be at school, and I don’t want that whole go-around.

I don’t really remember all of the details, tbh. It was REALLY weird, though. Like she said there’s a lot in application files that they like to shred. REALLY bizarre.

Simple Lily: Thanks um…I wrote the “At present you need to live the question” one. Lol, I told my mom that that was the question for my essay and she basically gave me the “***?” look.

mp, well, I guess it’s safe to say that even if I did get accepted, I probably wouldn’t want to go, anyway. I liked SLC’s bizarreness (the academic structure and its artsy nature) because I consider myself kinda quirky and offbeat, but I think it’s a little too bizarre for me. I mean, I get shredding financial documents, but applications?

seriously!?
thats so early. compared to my June 12.
but after AP testing, seniors just show up to class to play games and stuff.
i cant wait to graduate.

I kept refreshing the page seeing if anyone posted. It made me sad that no one did for awhile :[

I have two graduations that are on June 8th and 10th. One of my schools would have had it on a Sunday, but we had a ton of snow days so it had to be pushed back. I would actually prefer it on a Sunday because, while it is an odd date, doing it on a Sunday just makes sense with that school. Plus, both my siblings graduated on a Sunday, heh…

Haha, well I live in the south, so we start school early and end early. It’s awesome because after AP exams we literally have like…three days of school and then senior finals. I love my life.

So I’m pretty sure it’s safe to say I’m not the only one to feel like this week is absolutely ENDLESS? haha, seriously, it’s only Tuesday?!

I shouldn’t be on here, because it’s making me MORE anxious, but it’s nice to know I’m not the only one! Honestly, I’m past the point of caring whether or not I got in, to any of the schools I applied to, I JUST WANT TO KNOW!

On that note, I’ve been accepted to Ithaca and the honors program at UMass-Amherst, and I’m waiting on Barnard of course, NYU, Fordham, and Boston University.

And I get out of school May 27th, and graduation ceremonies are on June 7th, and then… summer. FINALLY, right?

Ahhhhh I just can’t wait for this to be over! God, I seriously hope everyone on this thread is accepted! You all deserve it so much!!!

graduation on June 13th!
and that night, we’re having a huge graduation party organized by parents and teachers, students from our district (there are only three high schools in our district :P) at UNC. (<-I’m anticipating the party more than graduation actually XD)

speaking of summer, what are you guys doing between graduation and moving into colleges? any plans??
I’m going to a 6-week music camp in western NC as a piano major.

I’m not sure. I might need to have surgery on my nose because I fractured it a long time ago and it never completely healed…so I might need that. Other than that little issue, probably traveling (my parents are looking at a cruise that goes to Italy, Greece, and Turkey…but we might not go if we can’t get a good deal), spending time with my best friends, and working.

Yes, I did apply to UChicago but I highly doubt I’ll get in. The essay topics were a challenge, but I can honestly say I had a lot of fun writing them, especially the one that asks you to talk about your interests. As for the long essay, I wrote about how I hated moving down a narrow, dirty lane in the city and had to live in a tiny Air Force flat (because my father was stationed in a conflict zone and we were safe there) and how eventually I came to appreciate the diversity around me and made some important observations and friendships. All in that cramped up, by-the-railway, beside-the-polluted-sea concrete kingdom. How I miss it!

I also enjoyed writing the short essays for the Barnard supplement, actually. I’d just love to be able to go to Barnard. My friend got accepted to Pratt yesterday, and it would be so great to have her around, IF I’m accpeted!
