RD decision date

does anyone know when RD decisions from Princeton are mailed out?

"Early Decision candidates are notified in mid-December and Regular Decision candidates are notified in early April."

from princeton website

That's a lot of help.

Well, they don't exactly say themselves, so it's hard to discern. However, checking back into last year's threads, they had packages that were postmarked on March 31st. But this year's ED packages were sent out later than last year's ED letters, so I don't know if that's a clear indication of anything at all.

March 30...online...I believe...

Au contraire. Princeton, I believe, notifies via snail mail only; decisions are not available on the 'net.

what he said.

are you sure??

100% sure .

They DON'T use e-mails in Princeton?! So when exactly are we supposed to know?

yeah, there is no website that i can find that would have the online decisions... nothing they inform us of anyway. so i'm pretty sure it's only snail mail, and not online on march 30th like all the other technologically advanced ivy league schools

These days are passing so slowly.

If you're int'l and wants a dose of anticlimax, email uaoffice@princeton.edu with your email and ask for a decision by email. I did just that and the nice Princeton people just replied to acknowledge that my address is in the mailing list.

^ If I'm an int'l student but I live in California, can I still use that option? cross fingers

So where are snail mails supposed to reach us by? 4/1?

i'm an international, but i think i'm gonna stick with the mailing... I want to experience the "fat envelope/thin envelope". Although i hope its the former.

QuizQuick, you can't really predict when they'll REACH you. They might actually mail it 3/30 - 4/1 so you could receive it later.
And Princeton is NOT technologically... un-advanced. They just use mail instead of online because it's more traditional. They want to stick with the novelty of the situation. Of course, it's more nerve-wracking for us, but hey if you end up with the fat envelope, you'll always have that special moment to cherish :)

I'm an international and I sent an email but they didn't reply to me! And I sent it before miaoling! I just hope they will tell me my decision by email.

Well, I asked nicely and included my identifying details;) Oh yeah, it was you that pointed me to their email in the first place, thxx and g'luck:)
@people after my own heart (ie can't wait for the snail mail): might as well write and ask them, what's the risk? Btw, they don't state the exact time anywhere. The response email only says "as soon as the results are released".

i'm an international, but i think i'm gonna stick with the mailing

Thats the spirit. Tough it out like Chuck Norris would
