RD to GSP

two days ago

wow it’s good to hear some referrals are still being made

Anyone select a foreign city for the first year? I decided it has to be all or nothing. Because I’m probably not going to NYU, I picked Florence! Plus on their website, it says Florence is only about 30k/year!! That’s a lot less unless I’m missing something. Perhaps I should just spend my whole four years there…

I’m disappointed. -_-

referral? what’s that mean…see i have no idea what my acceptance into GSP means…anyone want to enlighten me? is it good/bad?

Hey, I just got my GSP letter today in the mail (it was post marked March 19th). I’m extremely happy with the situation since I was convinced that I would be outright rejected by NYU, and I’ll probably accept the offer if the financial aid is good enough.

My stats:
SAT: 2090 (M 670, V 690, W 730)
WGPA: 4.2
UWGPA: 3.55
Rank: 141/736 (Highly competitive public school in TX)
SAT II: Eng Lit 740, US Hist 730

I just have one question for anyone who did the GSP: did you feel as though you were behind academically when you entered the CAS as a junior in comparison to the students that entered the CAS as freshmen?

i went to the information session last saturday at kimmel… and i have to say it dispelled what little doubt or reservation i had about GSP…

the dean was pretty impressive with his argument…and he did concede that the referral letter does sound a bit…ridiculous but also suggested that major changes are on their way (also about the program as a whole)

anyone attending the reception on the 6th at kimmel?

Did you do the NYU GSP? How did it work out?

i got into gallatin a week or two ago, and i really want to do gsp. anyone know how you can get into gsp if you’re already accepted into an nyu school?

i don’t think you can… they’re gonna make it so that people can apply though (next year i think)

I wonder if as a gallatin student they’d let you take a gsp class or 2? I would highly recommend heidi white’s social foundations seminar. My d is in it and I’m really impressed with what she is reading and learning. It’d be worth asking/petitioning gsp and gallatin about.

i’m going to florence…if anyone else is…just PM me…we CCers should stick together!

Has anyone that has sent out for the official acceptance packet from GSP received their additional information yet?

I got the acceptance packet, the purple folder, but I didn’t see any numbers for financial aid. =/ And I can’t seem to log onto the Financial Aid account. -_- It won’t let me get a pin for it.

for those complaining about GSP core classes- look at all the Ivys, many are expanding and strengthing their core programs…Columbia is one, Harvard, and more

For my D, if she doesn’t get into NYU, GSP would be perfect- a year there and then a year in Paris- her fantasy actually

If anyone puts you down for being in GSP, ignore them!!! Petty little minds

i am wondering are GSP students allowed to do the engineering programs with Stevens

Did everyone that got into GSP get their financial aid in their acceptance packet?

I received the Financial aid package for NYU’s GSP program yesterday in the mail.

How much money did you get?

I’m new to cc but I got into NYU GSP and am going to London. I also got $10,000 a year, plus $5,000 more for study abroad…
