You have a solid shot at UW. Your stats are good. I’d say if you do well on your essays you can get in. Bit of advice: talk about a character defining moment or experience that shows how you bring diverse qualities to the university. Avoid talking about your stats, academics, or activities. The key is to make it personal and unique to you. Let me know if you want anymore advice. I’d be glad to help!

Don’t take this the wrong way please, but be sure and put down the accomplishments that matter most to you, not just the ones with the big name. They only ask for 5 on the new application, so be sure and prioritize them. For example, I really don’t think they will care that you were history student of the year in 2005, which would have been as a freshman, correct? You might want to highlight more recent accomplishments. Also, get your SAT into the 1800s as well. Good luck!

I think you’re in. Your stats are way better than mine and I was accepted (3.67 GPA + 1770 SAT, although I do have my AA from Running Start). I think you have really good ECs as well. Like Proud Husky said, write an unique personal essay–something that’ll separate you from the others. If you think that there’s a chance someone will be writing about the same topic as yours, like typical hardships and academics, avoid it.

Yeah, just try and make it original and unique, because that’s what most people write about. Stay away from the “I learned how to work as a team” thing. Good luck!
