<p>Generally, social science fields use absolute grading, not a set curve that limits the number of A’s and so on. If you know the material you should be able to get an A/A-. Some curve-breaker kid won’t be able to spoil your GPA, which can happen in the hard sciences. So to answer your questions, yeah, they would help your chances of getting a good GPA.</p>
<p>I just have to caution you, though. There’s more to college than your GPA.</p>
