re "registering" for housing before being accepted

to all posters who hope the housing office somehow "knows" who might be accepted because you can "register" for housing even if you have not yet been accepted- it doesn't, sorry. They operate on completely different computer systems and for some reason let anyone "register" , then purge all invalid registrations when they cross check them with the admissions office in the Spring- kinda bassackwards, if you ask me, but that's they way they currently have it set up .
any student who IS accepted can legitimately register with the housing office. Older registrations that were entered prior to a students acceptance will be discarded.

hope that answers all questions that have come up about this - there is no "back door" into the admissions office. You just have to wait a bit longer.
