<p>Does applying as retake freshman give you any advantages/disadvantages ? Does anyone know if it is easier to get in considering you are more advanced in your studies ?</p>
<p>I’d think that if you are accelerated in your classes, it will be looked upon as that you’ve had an extra year. I think you are counted as the same as if you were an incoming 9th grader. Given the choice of being a sophomore or a retake freshman, I’d definitely be the latter!</p>

<p>I would think that it would be easier to get in as a repeat 9th grader because most schools take the most students in freshmen year. I’m guessing that if you passed the placement test to be in a higher placement they would place you in a certain class, though. But I’m not sure.</p>
