rea crash course

is it concise but detailed enough to get a 5 on the ap just by itself? Also, is a 750+ on the subject test realistic with just crash course? And please don’t recommend AMSCO b/c I don’t have the time to do so (I have 3 other AP’s to worry about)

Crash course is concise and in its own way it is very detailed. However, it is not a substitute for a textbook. If you have had a good APUSH course and have read your textbook then yes Crash Course would enable you to get a 4 or 5 on the AP exam. You raise a good point about the SAT II US History exam. The Crash Course provides a perfect review for that test. Take a look at the College Board’s Official SAT Subject Tests in US and World History book. It contains two real SAT IIs for each of these subjects. Virtually every key point on the two SAT II US History tests was in Crash Course.

True, but do you think the author of Crash Course wrote it so that it deliberately addressed all those Subject Test questions?

Yes - there is a tremendous overlap between the US History Subject test and the AP exam. It is important to note that the APUSH exam is almost totally limited to the period from 1607 (Jamestown) to 1981 (Reaganomics). The SAT II US History test does have have a few pre-1607 questions and a few post-1981 questions. Crash Course has very little before Jamestown and very little after Reagan. So you might want to review those topics.
