REA-USH Accuracy?

So i’ve taken roughly 11 practice tests for SAT II US.

I’m scoring in the 760-800 range, and finish with about 15 minutes left to spare.

But I just took my fourth REA test (they get progressively harder) and I totally (well relatively) tanked and got a 650.

They asked pretty ridiculous questions, like which one of the following abolitionists had a “Sambo personality”. Or asked questions like the population of the US at certain times (I was able to fake my way through those questions).

How realistic are REA tests (are the first couple realistic, and the rest hardcore?) And is there really a generous curve 81/90 raw an 800?

Thx.

I was just about to ask the same question

I saw on other posts that apparently the REA tests are a little harder (I just took the 4th one as well and got an abysmal 580)

What other practice tests did you take?

i took two PR tests from the USH/WH book. I took a peterson’s test. i took 8 sparknotes tests (3 in the real book plus five more in the “just tests” book).

and i took the one from “Real SAT II’s” (old book, but the content of the tests doesn’t change much from year to year). and i took three REA’s before the last one. so i guess that means i took 15… (i take them on the the bus ride to school, and the time between the bus gets to school and when class starts).
