i’m a muslim girl of asian origin. idk if the muslim part helps at all, but i’m assuming not.
- GPA: 3.73 UW, 4.44 W (i dealt with some medical conditions during sophomore year and my grades kinda plummeted for a year. kinda concerned bc i got Cs in math & science yikes. i'm planning on mentioning it on my app though.)
- 7 APs altogether, my school doesn't do class rank
- SAT: 1550 (790 reading, 760 math), will retake that in august
- SATII: math II, physics, maybe bio? (haven't gotten scores yet)
- national merit commended probably. i'm sure it doesn't really count for anything but whatever
- school ECs:
- robotics team (lead), competed at worlds this year
- newspaper (editor), multiple awards for individual pieces and the newspaper as a whole. more about writing: have been published in some magazines, etc.
- muslim student association (founder & president)
- will apply for honor societies next year (science, english?)
- out of school stuff:
- founder of a science organization (don't wanna give out too many details but yeah lots of outreach, etc etc. probably the only shining part of my resume lmao.)
- lab work at biotechnology company last summer
- research alongside a grad student this past year
- uhhh idk i'm blanking
- volunteering at a hospital, i genuinely enjoy it
- work at a children's tutoring center, supervisor (highest rank)
- summer stuff and next year:
- still trying to finalize things, probably just internships and stuff
- maybe more research on a larger scale if i get into this program
- recs/essays: pretty solid, hopefully. :)
