<p>The last few days i’ve been working on my common app essay. I chose the topic “Evaluate a significant experience, achievement, risk you have taken, or ethical dilemma you have faced and its impact on you.”.</p>
<p>I’m a swedish student with no experience in writing college essays because swedish universities don’t ask for essays so I have no idea what a successful common app essay is supposed to look like.
Anyway, i’m writing about a small business (a kiosk) that I started two summers ago. </p>
<p>I would really appreciate if someone could read it and tell me what’s good and bad about it - since I have no idea what even makes a great college essay. Also, since english is not my mother tongue, i’d like to know if the language and grammar of the essay sounds/looks odd to a native speaker.
I.e. I am open to any feedback I can get!</p>
