<p>This is the common app extracurricular short answer. </p>

<p>Playing football was one of the toughest experiences in my life. No matter how “rigorous” a teacher claims an AP course willbe, there is no comparison to running sprints in the humid Carolina summer with the temperature upwards of 120 degreesinside of a helmet. It is something that you can’t give anything less that 100% at because if you do the coach will make you doit all over again. Through this experience I became somewhat of a perfectionist, not stopping until the the job was 100% done
to completion and done to a satisfactory level.</p>

How have you taken on the coach’s discipline? As of now, it seems that you’ve learned only to do as you’re told. That’s not a very good reason to sign up for a sport, or even to join the military.</p>
