I realize that reading isn’t the only component of ap english, but it does represent a formidable part. That said, how fast do you usually read the novels you’re assigned? In approximate wpm and percentage of your max reading speed.

Bump! I know I’m not the only person whose ever read a book, you all must have opinions.

Well, I don’t really time myself, but I can usually get through a page or so in a minute, and my teacher assigns us books to read in like a month or 3 weeks. We had to read about 100 pages of Catch-22 a week, and we have to read 3-4 chapters of To Kill A Mockingbird at the moment.

And as far as practice AP exams go, we’re given between 5 and 7 minutes to read and analyze the text and 1 minute to read and answer each question. This worked out great since most of us get 70% or higher correct each time.

Not sure if that really answered your question, but there’s my input :)

When you read at a page pet minute, can you get all of the details for sufficient annotation in your class?
