I do think Barbie was deserving of a best director nomination - a beautifully executed original vision throughout. Re acting, I’m no expert. But sometimes a portrayal that seems easy and natural where you don’t even think they’re acting, takes more craft than a highly dramatic portrayal that screams acting. Do you see the character, or the actor?
I haven’t seen most of the movies so can’t judge, unlike television where I’d seen most of the award winning series.
