So my DS takes the SAT in the Fall and bombs with the following:

Math - 600
Vocab - 500
Writing - 610

Total - 1710 — He scored a 170 on the PSAT which would be accurate to the SAT.

Since then he has hit the vocab hard and put some time into math. The last two pre-test have him at:

Math - 680
Vocab - 600

I have an SAT caculator… I took and dropped out his wrong answers and showed him the differance in score:

Math - 700
Vocab - 620

So here is my question. He has been self preping since October for the SAT and has taken a few SAT practice test. He now has two weeks left prior to the SAT exam. He is also taking another exam in May but will be preping for 8 sessions, 3 hours per session prior to that test.

In middle school he mastered (ACED) his state exams which allowed him to do the John Hopkins program. He actually does well on these test but I know for a fact he was tired for both the SAT and PAST because of soccer and staying up late. Given his original SAT marks and his pre-test marks is there any possible reality he can score what he got on the pre-test. His math would need to increase 80 points and his vocab 100 points.

His goal for May is a 700 in both areas…
