Realistic Advice Please

<p>I don’t have a chance in getting into any schools I want (mid-tier UC’s) with my current academic record. I went through this stoner phase freshman year and it decimated my transcript. I have since picked up my grades and such but my transcript simply does not reflect. I have been considering the TAG program as it get’s me to exact schools I want to go to but I don’t want to go to a CC right out of high school. I want to go to a CSU for frosh year and most likely go to CC and join the TAG program sophomore year. I want to get the “college experience” as well as an idea of what CSU teaching is like. Is it possible/realistic to do or should I just head to CC straight out of high school? </p>

<p>Sorry, but that GPA is not going to get you into any of the CSU’s since they are now so competitive. A number of UC’s are not using the TAG program anymore, so you have to hope that you take the right classes in the right order at the CC’s.</p>
