reality hits hard

reality hits hard.

it is nearly impossible to find an engineering job when you have a horrible gpa.

whats the use of even getting an engineering degree when you have a terrible gpa to go along with it.

How terrible is “terrible”?

Try, try again.
And if that doesn’t work, consider grad school!

It is equally impossible to find a job with an Arts degree with a 4.0 GPA.

uhh… but how can you even step foot into grad school with a s gpa?

What is your GPA? Is it CC bad, or is it real world bad?

Fine, apply for a job which you are a little overqualified for (a slightly lower level position, still in your area of interest). Work there for 1,2 years and after that no one will care about your low gpa and you can get a better job elsewhere.

DS tried for 9 months, high gpa, MS in computer science, BS in mechanical, good engineering schools and internships. He eventually got position just 3 months ago which came up through his undergrad professor. Its a tough job market and a contacting economy.
