Really BAD Airline Behavior

Sure, that’s kind of disgusting, but seems to me that as long as the newspaper caught the crap, when it was gone, most of the smell would have disappeared. I’d take that over the passenger who keeps on farting, thinking nobody knows who it is. I’ve been known to randomly loudly proclaim, “I know whose doing that, stop it!”

And I have a whole list of things that would annoy me more. People who leave the window shade open when everybody else is trying to sleep, blinding the rest of us. The triple S’s, smackers (gum smackers), sniffers (self explanatory), and shufllers (people who have to loudly shuffle their cards exactly ten times, waking everyone up, rows and rows around them). Give me a poop on the seat anytime, I can take it. Much less annoying than the others!

College-aged guy kept asking for more booze refills then opted for the creamed chicken dinner. Just as pax were starting to nod off during the duty free sales, there was this horrible loud gurgling noise behind me, followed by Exorcist-force projectile creamed chicken + booze vomit slamming the back of my headrest.

If it was bad for me (I was holding a baby in my lap), it was even worse for the pax sitting next to the miscreant. The side pax all got frontal splattered w high-velocity backsplash. The Air France flight attendants tried to wipe up the chicken++ debris w airplane blankets, but only succeeded in grinding the vomit into the seat upholstery & carpet. No one could could change seats bcs the summer time flight was absolutely full. Everyone in the economy cabin was gagging over the smell for hours & hours till we landed at JFK.

The bar has fallen soooo low. Give me poop on newspaper any day.

That is just awful!

I have a funny story. A friend and I were on a chartered flight from JFK to Rio de Janiero. It was January and had just snowed about 9". Still, our flight wasn’t cancelled. It was however, really badly organized. There was a line for luggage, and then to check in and then for something else - hundreds of people in an unruly crowd without proper line control and a riot was forming. In the middle of one particularly bad line, a man with a strong foreign accent wrested the microphone away from the airline employee and started cursing loudly into it - sheet, son of beech, fook, over and over.

We finally get on the plane and it’s 3 AM by now. There’s a very slight bump and I look out my window to see 5 guys staring up at the wing. Oh no, off the plane! One of the delivery trucks had run into the engine, a piece had to be welded on, and FAA rules enforcing that the flight crew get some sleep kicked in so we would be delayed well into the next day. Irate foreign man gets off the plane, starts ripping the arms off of the airport furniture and throwing them, hard, into those big glass windows. He’s taken away by the police. The flight attendants put out food, in those little carts, for the rest of us and then they ran, just ran, away! I washed my hair in the airport sink the next morning.

Just when you think you’ve heard everything…

Unless the parents used all the pages of the Sunday Times to catch this deposit, and depending on the deposit’s consistency, the seat would have gotten wet and soiled. And unlike other emissions of bodily fluids and waste, they had time to take the kid to the lavatory. Some people…

I don’t know, I think two or three sheets of newspaper would be sufficient to capture the average toddler poop. :)

But yeah…definitely take the kid to the lav.
