Really BAD Airline Behavior

<a href=“SFGATE: San Francisco Bay Area News, Sports, Culture, Travel, Food and Drink”>SFGATE: San Francisco Bay Area News, Sports, Culture, Travel, Food and Drink;

What were they thinking?!

Can you top this? Time for some amusing/outrageous tales of airline or other travel misadventures with our fellow man.

Mods Note - Profanity is not allowed. Don’t try to spell around the filter.

That kind of crap should not be tolerated.

I thought this was going to be about crappy things airlines do and I was going to whine about Spirit.

This is just gross. Ew

That’s the cultural norm in China. I did a project for a client about child raising patterns, including toilet training. We did focus groups and interviews in China (as well as 6 other countries). The child wears a type of split pants with a hole in the back so the child can go to the bathroom.

See here for an example. I saw this all over Shanghai and Beijing. <a href=“A CUP OF JO: 16 Surprising Things about Parenting in China”>http://joannagoddard.blogspot.fr/2014/07/16-surprising-things-about-parenting-in.html</a></p>

Spirit only sucks if your expect it to actually provide services that all other airline provide…so I’ve heard.

Sorry. I didn’t think that the common slang for fecal matter was profanity.

It is when the common slang is profane! :)

“Can you top this?”

Mr Depardieu tried:
<a href=“Gerard Depardieu Pees in Plane Aisle on Air France”>http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20519658,00.html</a></p>

Profanity is strictly a religious issue. Using good, old-fashioned AngloSaxon terms for feces, sexual intercourse, and so forth is not profanity. Crude, perhaps.

Pfft…ok. :P

*It is when the common slang is vulgar! *

Does this make you feel better, Consolation?

Honestly…this story stinks :)

LOL, thumper! It does!

We flew Turkish Air a couple of times. Nothing against the airline, the service was superb. Some passengers… OMG. We laughed hysterically when someone a few rows from us passed gas, and the guy next to him jumped up form his seat into the isle, grabbed a blanket and started waving it in the air trying to dissipate the stench (which was so bad where we were sitting, I can only imagine what kind of stinkbomb hit the guy!), then he cursed and yelled at the flight attendants as if they had anything to do with the situation. Poor flight attendants…

Now I feel better about the person sitting next to me on my last flight.

Really? Come on, why else would you have tried to spell around the filter?

Not judging, because I use profanity more often than I should, but I figured that your title would eventually be nixed as against TOS because you tried to outsmart the filter. No biggie, most of us who have posted here for any significant amount of time have had posts deleted or have received communications from admins that we have violated TOS. I think I used a word once with two dollar signs instead of the letter s, and I was busted. Another time I provided a link which turned out to be a private blog and was called on it. It happens.

I can’t even imagine…

When I flew to Colorado for my last on-campus interview, I had a layover in Phoenix both ways. The plane had to sit on the tarmac for upwards of 45 minutes both ways because we were too EARLY. So irritating.

Then, on the way from Phoenix to my hometown, I was sitting next to a young man who had BATHED in cologne. I have asthma and could feel my throat closing. I don’t normally care…what you want to wear is up to you…but when you’re in an enclosed space with no way for me to get out or breathe fresh air? No thank you. It was so bad I could taste the cologne in the back of my throat. Ugh.

Lol. I’ll take a kid crapping on newspaper, any day, over the drunk passenger sitting behind me who threw up on my headrest & hair midway thru an 8 hour transatlantic flight.

Flying to Portland on one of my few SW trips ever, I found a window seat, next to a goth looking couple. I don’t jude by appearances, and was happy for the seat. A short time into the flight, I realized that the black clothing was caked in dirt, and everything this man wore was stand up on it’s own dirty. And the odor was pungent. I spent the several hours of the flight nose pressed towards the glass, covered by a kleenex.

@GMTplus7, how could he get drunk on a flight that long on those teeny, tiny airplane booze bottles?

Oh my! Did the flight attendants do anything?

(now we know why some have tried to wash their hair in that tiny sink)

He could have been drinking before he got on the plane. the restaurants near the gates sell booze. That plus a couple of tiny bottles could make a person drunk.
