Really Cheap airfares on Jetblue...today only.

I just checked my email and found that Jetblue has a sale today…airfares starting at $29 one way…There are many restrictions…only good for travel on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, must be purchased today and used soon, but they are remarkable fares. Maybe someone can benefit.

Go to the official website and look for sample sale.

Also, Alaska is running their “mystery city” 30% off sale. Every day at midnight they announce another city that goes on sale for a day.

Now, the SAD news… Bags will no longer fly free on Alaska:

[Alaska, Horizon airlines to charge for FIRST (!!!) checked bag](http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/travel/2009109539_webalaskabaggage23.html)

Grrrrr… Yay Southwest to Boston!

yay SW to Boston. I just booked DH last week and got a $99. BOS to LAX one way flight :)

ebeeee, Wow! That’s a flight I made many times when we lived in California and the lowest fare I ever got was $129 one way.

I booked JFK to California, $79 each way nonstop!!!

I wish i needed to go somewhere right now…lol.

I thought SW does not do Boston to LAX yet until Sept.

Columbia, that’s true but Southwest has tickets on sale for dates through October.

Yes, should have said this was for a September trip. They are also booking dates in August though so it must be starting sooner than September.

Southwest is apparently running their own “mystery city” sale. 50% off. ;)

First city is Philly. Says the deals will be “4 days, 4 deals, 4 destinations” and run April 24-27.

Alaska added a “new” perk for my hubby “the MVP” - yipee:

"*As one of our valuable MVP customers, we’d like to let you know about a service charge change announcement being made today. After significant consideration, Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air have decided to implement a $15 service charge for a customer’s first checked bag. The new charge will be effective for all tickets purchased as of May 1, 2009, for travel on or after July 7, 2009.

As an MVP, however, you will be exempt from this first checked bag service charge. What’s more, after this change goes into effect, we will also be waiving the second bag service charge for MVPs. Thus, for tickets purchased after May 1, 2009, for travel after July 7, 2009, you will be able to check two bags without a service charge. This exemption extends to everyone traveling in the same reservation as the MVP, and both Web Check-in and Kiosk Check-in are automated to reflect this exemption*."

Ahhh, what an easy way to create a new “perk”: take a freebie away from all, charge everyone but a few chosen ones for it and call it a special “perk”. :)

Today is NASHVILLE

For Alaska, it is MINNEAPOLIS (MSP) 30% off if you buy a ticket to or from MSP.
