Really Confused- Need Help.

hey guys,
so i have la huge problem. my sat scores are horrible. i know that this a problem with alot of people but mine is, i think, worse. I am a 4.0 student, valedictorian of a really competitve high school in PA. I get really good grades, my ecs are really goods, my teachers recs/ essays should also be good, and i am currently spending this summer at Harvard so a summer program where i am taking the INtro to Chem course. Howvere all my standarized scores, every one of them, really sucks. heres my breakdown

Act: 28
SAT: 640M, 640CR, 650W
SAT II Bio: 600

I’m planing to retake everything this fall as well a couple more SAT IIs. I am looking at alot of elite and selective universittes (eg Yale Columbia UPenn Harvard Northwestern etc) and i have no doubt in my mind that i will never get into these colleges with the score i have. It really sucks for me cause I have been a really good student my whole life and these tests are making my life miserable. I’ve worked so hard and do have all my dreams come to an end beacuse of a couple of tests is REALLY disheartnening

So I’ll spare you guys of my whole sob story and get staright to the point. Asking all those 800s out there- howd you do? What are the techniques? I mean i know alot. Ive read so many books took a kaplan course and even private tuition and im still not getting it. I’m not stupid i just think i have bad test taking methods. Please i need anyone’s help. I would really appreicate anyones advice…

thanks so much

I got an 800 on the writing part of the SAT. Get some solid examples to use in your essay, and have one (or more) ready for each of the following areas: literature (preferably classic literature…Harry Potter isn’t the best choice if you know what I mean), history, current events, and science. If you have your examples ready, you won’t have to think as long about what to write. Also, do a quick outline (key word here is quick) before you write your essay, so the essay will be organized and will flow well.

For the other parts of the writing section, basically know every single grammar rule you’ve forgotten. lol. It’s fairly nitpicky, so just be sure to read over the questions a few times.
