29 ACT (34 Math, 29 Science, 27 Reading, 26 English)
summer aerospace program(selective, had to compete against 240 students for 160 spots)
pretty quite in class and most teachers have a negative look at me(except my computer/engineering teacher, me and him are close)

where can i basically go to college. as laughable as my list is, what is your honest oppinion

MIT, U of Michigan Ann Arbor, Bost U or U of Boston(whichever school is for business)

MIT is most likely out of your range now. Michigan is a very long shot, very slim chance if you happen to get a perfect on your SAT, your GPA is pretty much unadjustable at this point. Likewise for BU. BU actually is probably the less competitive to get into, then Michigan. Both will be long reaching schools, get into looking at other schools.

any alternatives to what I have, buisness schools primarily, not engineering.

Honestly, MIT is really out of reach. Michigan is a mid-reach unless you happen to be stellar at SATs, same for BU

Chance me!!!

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/917450-chance-fool-mit-caltech-etc.html

State of residence? Money a problem?

washington state, money isn’t a problem

I think other people are being a little harsh. Being from Washington state, it’ll probably be easier for you to get into BU than it is for people where I am, simply because less people apply - and I know people from my school who have gotten in to BU with stats very similar to yours. However, I would definitely agree that Michigan is a reach, and MIT is pretty much unquestionably a high reach.

Have you tried getting your ACT score up? Studying Reading/English could significantly help to raise your score and increase your chances. In addition, have you looked anywhere outside of these three schools? I think there are a lot of other good places you could get into, but you don’t want to put all of your hopes on these three places.

I’m gonna be blatantly honest with you, with your GPA and how you got low Bs and Cs in REGULAR english and history is very bad. MIT I’d say you might have a 1% chance of getting in because of the two ECs you have. Michigan is likewise, a VERY tough school to get into and your GPA is very low for it and your ACT isn’t high enough to make you stand out. BU is the lesser of the 3 but still a very tough school to get into. You really need to pick your GPA up and either raise your ACT or rock the SAT.

Why did you take engineering tech, an aerospace summer program, and intern at a engineering place if you want to be in business?

Michigan isn’t a “VERY” tough school to get into, it’s just not within his ideal range with a 3.1 GPA. From what I know, Michigan actually is pretty lenient in terms of how good it really is.

However, reesez, I don’t believe we’re being very harsh. It’s realistic:
BU’s 25th-50th-75th percentile range for GPA & SAT of those accepted are:
3.50-3.72-3.90
1920-2061-2181

BU’s 25th-50th-75th percentile range for those denied are:
2.95-3.33-3.51
1779-1925-2105

As can be seen, the 75th percentile for those denied is 3.51 GPA unweighted
