Really in a dilemma.. PLEASE help me..

ok so…
I am awaiting my act score which i hope will be an improvement from my 34 composite (got a 9/12 on essay with 32 English/writing)
The january sat deadline is today and currently i have 740 cr, 800 math, 690 (9/12 essay) in first sitting.
The writing is not very good… and I know i won’t be able to see my january scores before i send them.
What should I do?
Should I still send my sat scores and retake it in january?

Most colleges don’t care too much (or at all) about the writing section.

There’s no reason to retake a 34 or a 1540. The gap between those numbers and a perfect score is within the deviation from test session dates and outside factors.

Most admissions staff members wont see any difference between a 1540 and a 1600.

The writing is being given more weight than you think cgarcia. In any case, 1540 is an excellent score and a 34 is comparable to that. The test scores don’t matter so much as long as you’re in a certain range, which you are clearly in. I don’t see a need to take anything again but its really your call.
