REALLY NERVY 4 FRIDAY...here are my stats tell me what you think

<p>OMG I’M SOOO NERVOUS FOR FRIDAY I AM TOTALLY GETTING REJECTED (I THINK) BUT ANYWAYS TELL ME WHAT YOU GUYS THINK MY CHANCES ARE:</p>

<p>I applied to the engineering @ cornell</p>

<p>GPA: 3.98 (UW) about 5.1 (W)
SAT 1: 1470 (800 math, 670 Verbal)—really wish i did better :frowning:
SAT 2’s: 800 writing, 800 Math IIC, 780 Physics, 760 Chem</p>

<p>All honors courses, 6 APs after junior year, 5 APs this year, so 11 total
AP scores all 5’s except AP English was a 4 :frowning:
courses this year and 1st quarter grades (i sent them in):
AP Calc BC- A
AP Economics- A+
AP Physics- A
AP Spanish- A- (ughhhhh i TOTALLY suck at Spanish but w/e)
AP English- A
Band- A</p>

<p>EC’s–
All-American qualifier (swimming- 15 years)–coach wrote me an AMAZING rec
Violin (14 years)
Community service hours: over 1000 hours since 9th grade</p>

<p>Work experience: summer- worked at a hospital and went to a summer program at Yale medical school where i did A LOT of research and stuff like that</p>

<p>Essays are really good esp. Cornell essays (had them analyzed by the best college counselor in the state) </p>

<p>I totally don’t know what I’m doing wasting my time applying to cornell ED ughhhh…but both my parents went there so im hoping that will give me an edge hahah what do you guys think??</p>

<p>i dont know, your SAT is way too low for cornell, only 1470? what’s wrong? I suggest you re-take it immediately and rush your new scores. </p>

<p>I don’t think it is, i think he has a very good chance at getting in, especially if he is a recruited athlete, but he doesn’t say that, and im surprised he wouldn’t be since he is an all american, so it could be a joke, but i don’t think it is…if this is real, you have very good chances</p>

<p>Sounds like you’re good. You dont have that many ECs (or didnt put them down?) but thats ok. You’re very dedicated to them and thats what counts. G’luck!</p>

<p>god heaven forbid you receive a 4 on an AP test!!! Wow you must have really messed up big time. Grow a spine or find some balls and stop worrying.</p>

I agree… legacy… swimmer 800 math… If you don’t get in… who does?? Let us know Friday. of course… that Spanish might knock you out. Where are you really applying?</p>
