Really? Was it a joke?

there are no sat dates in february btw.

you have a 34 ACT (equivalent to like a 2250) and you think this is a joke? you have a shot; you should apply

but my gpa is pretty low… i know there is a significant upward trend but a 3.2 freshman year. thats pretty low.

@djking99
haha i didn’t even notice that i meant the jan. 28th sitting

@captain13 Stanford does not consider freshman grades =)

i love you.
edit:
so that means I have a 3.62 cumulative GPA UW
still not that great
if i get the same grades i have no first semester senior year then ill have a 3.7 or something around there

@bumbulbi: For Stanford, I’d say anything less than 3.6 UW (unless you’re some varsity athlete with tons of awards or have started your own business)

^ Then I’m in that pile of abhorrent GPA’s…

Still optimistic though, it is worth the shot.

don’t worry i am too :)

Stanford doesn’t use freshman year grades when they calculate your GPA.

It’s still a long shot for anybody, with a 7% acceptance rate last year, and likely more applicants this year. They claim they could fill two incoming classes with valedictorians, if they wanted to. They also turn down more applicants with 800 SAT math scores than they accept.

I would still apply, though. The weather’s better than anywhere in New Jersey…

haha wow! Thats slightly intimidating…
Also, even if its not stanford (which it probably won’t be) I am so going to go to the nice weather.
