I applied to Stanford but got rejected. However, I intend to apply for next year. What about the teacher recommendations? Shall I ask my teachers to write new ones or does Stanford consider the old ones? (I would probably prefer new ones of course).</p>
<p>My understanding is that you can either choose to use the ones from last year, or submit new ones, as you prefer.</p>
<p>I asked Ben and he told me to definitely request new teacher recommendations that focus on my last year.</p>
<p>Sorry, I thought I was posting this on the MIT board.
Anyway, “Ben” is an admission officer at MIT and I guess his answer applies to Stanford, too.</p>
