reason for ACT>SAT equivalency

it seems like most people have ACT scores that are higher than their SAT score.
why is this
i think its because ACTs are easier
so don’t you think the ACT and sAT conversion thingy is inflated?

like, i have a 2310 and a 36 so does that mean i’ll have an equivalent score to a 2400? to colleges? or do they think ACTs are worth less because they seem to be easier…

I don’t think it that inflated really…

I have a 2360 and 36. My SAT is a little lower.

The main reason I don’t think it’s so inflated is that in the ACT getting one wrong makes your 36 drop instantly. But on the SAT, you can get 1/2 wrong on a section and still get 800 (I actually did that :D). This is prolly to compensate for the fact that the ACT is a little easier in most things (i.e. math)…

It may be slightly inflated because of the rounding in the ACT though…
