<p>I’m the dad of an incoming frosh. <p>To summarize the linked thread a bit: If you have acceptances at Mudd, MIT, CalTech, Stanford, Rice or the like (and assuming that huge scholarships aren’t available at one place and not the others) it basically comes down to where you think you’d thrive the most over the next four years. This, of course, assumes that you are certain about majoring in a field that Mudd offers, which would be a limiting factor for many people.</p>
